Visa Score

Why Embassies use Visa Score to grant a visa to foreigners?

Getting a visa is either a painless process or a worse nightmare to many. Every day tons of people go through this process. Either getting your visa is an easy task or a challenging one, it depends on one’s visa score.

A visa score is a score or rating granted to the visa applicant by the visa officer. And whether you get a visa or not depends largely on scores one gets. Every country has its visa score requirements.

Applying for an international travel visa or visitor visa, there are several requirements that one must fulfill to get a visa. Those are the requirements on which you get scoring or rating.

Everyone who had already applied for a visa, especially for a visitor visa, should know why it is important to get a good visa score. Visa score is just like your report card, and those with good grades are the priority of each country.

Due to a large amount of immigration from developing developed countries in past developed countries are now increasingly become conscious about the number of immigrants due to the immigration crisis.

They don’t want foreigners or immigrants to become permanent residents there. Due to which they impose restrictions. As a result of which only people of high caliber and skilled professionals are accepted in developed countries, which can significantly contribute to their economy.

A good visa score is an indicator of you being a genuine visitor. And it helps you to get a visa of highly developed countries with ease and without much hassle or else you need to overcome any obstacle to get a visa.

A good visa score acts like a guarantee that you are a genuine tourist or for some other purposes, and you are not planning to settle there permanently.

As already mention visa score is like a report card. Therefore it depends on several different factors. And each factor has an equal contribution to the sum of the visa score.

These visa score factors may differ a little from country to country, or you can say from developing to develop to highly developed countries. However, there are not many differences in these factors or a debate that which factors are more important than others.

One of the most critical factors in getting a good visa score is travel history. And the shocking thing is many visa applicant doesn’t know about travel history. As a result of which their visa got rejected.

Travel history tells how many times a visa applicant visited other countries and whether they came back to their home country on time or not. Those with a good visa history have high chances of getting a visa in contrast to the one who has low or zeroes travel history.

Another factor on which visa score depends includes:

· Overstay in any country

· Deportation

· International criminal record

· Native country

Visa score requirements are different for different countries. All countries are divided into four levels based on their visa score requiring.

Countries like Thailand, Dubai, Singapore, and Malaysia have a zero visa score requirement, or they don’t require a very high score. They readily grant a visa to anyone who wishes to visit these countries.

Then come countries with a little high visa score requirements like Japan, Russia, or South Africa.

Third level countries are the developed ones, including Australia and New Zealand, Switzerland, etc. These countries have a booming economy, but they lack skilled and professional workers; therefore, they use the visa score as a basis to check genuine visitors.

And at the last level, we have highly developed countries which are very much saturated with immigrants. Therefore they have imposed a restriction. And grant their visa to only highly skilled and professional laborers. It includes countries like Canada, the USA, the United Kingdom, or Schengen. Visitors with high visa scores have more chances of getting a visa for these countries.

The visa score overall defines whether an applicant is good enough to be accepted in a particular country or not. A good visa score is significant for highly developed countries. Travel history is an essential factor that considers the visa score. And important things are different countries have different visa requirements.
