Setup Flask project using Docker and Gunicorn.

Along with our studies or developing a new project, we always need to have a basic setup to start building our idea.

We have different environments, you could be on a Linux environment, Windows, Mac, or any other, and each one will have specifics needs, that could be, installing the python version that you need, the dependency management tool that your platform supports, and more.

But you can avoid all these specific needs using one tool that will encapsulate all of this for you, and make it possible for you to share and move to any other environment using only one setup. This is what Docker can do for you.

A small introduction about what we will look into, you need to understand where and why we are creating a file or changing it.

2 — Docker container: This is the executable package that will include all the dependencies required to execute the application that you want to containerize.

3 — Dockerfile: It’s a “script file” that you will define all the rules for your Docker start, build and run.

This is the most simple task, we need a file that will contain the instruction to create our “virtual environment” or Docker container, for this as in any other environment we need an OS (Operational System).

We will use a Linux distribution, but remember, it can be any system, our choice for Linux is because of the size and the simplicity of what we want to achieve.
