Lead refer to potential users that could convert into our customer which determined by information that can indicate their interest, it could be number of those who match the criteria that a brand or campaign look for, or the activities such as subscriptions, like, and share from your target audience. The more leads you have the wider is your reach, and the more prospective consumer interest into your business. Thus, it is important to incorporate lead generation into your media strategic plan.

There are multiple tools in which you can adopt in order to generate leads, but one that is frequently used is Cost Per Click or Pay Per Click. It is done in a way similar to bidding where you indicate the maximum amount of money you are willing to pay for a click by internet users. It is beneficial in term of directing the traffic right to the websites or any platform the brand wanted. Cost Per Click is considerably related with search engines in which keywords or phrases that are relevant to your target audience can also be bided. Thus, when internet user search for something which included words that match with your keyword lists, website that adopt Cost Per Click advertisement will appear. However, it is crucial to be aware that not all volume that you gained are the potential leads that will turn into your customers. There are oftentimes that the activities you carried out draw the wrong leads that are not your target audience. Thus, apart from paid advertisement, it is also essential to emphasize on content and the way you send out your message. To really generate potential leads, making sure that the message itself does not only reflect what you want to inform your audience, but also call them to take action. It is really important that visitors take some kind of action whether subscribe, comment, or share so that you will not only expand your reach but you can also effectively determine the outcome of your campaign.

Using multiple platform and tools like hashtags, contest, giveaways, or conversations to further scope and convert normal users into your customers. Social media channels that are very useful for lead generation are Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. Each platform has unique functions in which help you identify your target audience easier, most importantly, to link them to your landing page. Focusing on attracting customers by using relevant and helpful content which add value at each stage in the customer’s journey. But also keep in mind that lead generation sources should be between 1 to 3 platforms, not every platform as it would be time-consuming. Moreover, you must also keep in mind that once you have built up the traffic to your landing page, the job is not complete yet. So, what you have to do is keeping the consistency of your posts and activities in order to maintain interest and engagement of your customers.
