Starting a study in Data Science

This is my first post describing my interesting journey into the world of Data Science.

I have been wanting to do better for myself and my family and to that end, I have decided to work towards what I am naturally good at, mathematics and making the complex easy for people. I feel that Data Science fills both of those slots nicely for me. But I know that it will not be an easy journey as I regretfully have been neglecting my brain for the past few years by not learning as much as I should. I am well suited to the task because of being motivated by my wife to do better for myself.

Back in February, I signed up for a paid subscription to DataCamp.com and I believe that it has been well worth my money. In that time though, I have been looking at several other resources…mainly books, for my source of information on the topic. I stumbled across the Feynmann Technique for learning and plan on implementing it soon with tutorials based on what I am learning in my self-study.

This is my first post of many and will be simultaneously be posting my blog posts from my blog Selfie Data Science on Medium. So look forward to that.
